В свое время, с появлением оптических носителей, мы получили возможность сохранять огромные массивы данных на, казалось бы, надежных CD- и DVD-дисках. Но, на самом деле, как показало время, не такие уж они оказались безупречные, и о заявленном сроке в 10 лет, говорить не приходится: тривиальная царапина, помутнение плаcтика и прочие временные дефекты, часто делают невозможным доступ к содержимому диска. Впрочем, не все потеряно! Восстановить львиную долю файлов поможет известная утилита CDRoller. Она позволяет "извлекать" файлы с нечитаемых дисков, создавать локальные копии CD- и DVD-архивов и сделав однажды каталогизацию, отыскивать нужный файл, не помещая носитель в дисковод, очищать перезаписываемые диски и записывать данные, а также выполнять множество других операций. Программа умеет работать практически со всеми разновидностями оптических дисков.

* Data CD browser и content reader – менеджер файлов диска, показывающий содержание компакта;
* CD-ripper – утилита для копирования аудиотреков на жесткий диск. Данная утилита «видит» треки CDA как обычные файлы, которые можно скопировать на винчестер;

directly onto disks, including Sony Mavica digital cameras, Hitachi,

files and folders immediately after recovery. The "Burn" option is
integrated into a common shell. Just write a new disc with recovered

Erases CD and DVD re-writable media. Supports quick and full erase

"On-the-fly" unpacks the files initially compressed by Roxio

To run CDRoller, you need at least:

Microsoft Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP/2003/Vista operating system,
Intel Pentium or compatible CPU,
256 MB of RAM,
9 MB free hard disk space for program installation and some additional
space for CD/DVD images,
CD/DVD drive(s). The devices with IDE or SCSI interfaces are highly
recommended under Windows 95/98/ME.
